Virtual assistant? Dose anyone know the best way to find a job as a virtual assistant?

I have been looking for a job that I can do from home. The virtual assistant seems like a good idea but how do I fun a company that is on the up and up in the new england area. Please let me know if anyone has tried this line of work and how do I know if it a good company. Thank you

I have and enjoyed it very much. The company does not have to be in the area you live. Though the company I worked for did have certain state restrictions.

There are certain requirements for each company, but basics are a fairly updated computer, hard line phone, good headset with noise filter, mute and volume control, DSL … no laptops or wireless equipment or VOIP phone service.

Pop me an email through my profile and I will send you a couple of links. Can't post them here because even though I derive no financial benefit, Answers prohibits the posting of links even though MANY do despite the rules.

Has anyone ever used Virtual Vocations to find a job?

I ran across a site called Virtual Vocations. They have a lot of good job listings, some that I would be interested in, but it costs $6.99 a month for membership. I normally never pay for any kind of online subscription, but at first glance it doesn't look like a scam. Does anyone know if it's a waste of my money?

Most temp agencies and the newspapers all have the same job listings, so do not bother with the membership website!
